Carbon Price

November 1, 2010

The delay in introducing an ETS is now factoring more upward pressure into the price of electricity than an actual living, breathing emissions trading scheme would.

And another thing: the more recent work by the Climate Institute confirms Australia is in no danger of leading the world on an ETS.  See their report, Putting A Price Tag on Pollution – Driving Competitiveness in the Clean Energy Economy.

Labor must have an enacted, ready-to-go carbon price in place when it next faces the people.
