Post election ALP Review Gathers Pace

November 5, 2010

Following the 2010 eelction the Prime Minister appointed me – along with Senator John Faulkner and former Premier of Victoria Steve Bracks – to conduct a root and branch review of the ALP. The Review has wide terms of reference. We’ve been examining party organisation, the 2007-2010 term, and the 2010 election. The full terms of reference can be found here (http://www.alp.org.au/australian-labor/member-news/review-2010/)

The Review has taken evidence in Sydney and on two days this week took evidence in Brisbane. Premier Anna Bligh, Queensland Party Secretary Anthony Chisholm, Deputy Jackie Trad, and teh former members for Brisbane, Bonner, Forde and Longman, each defeated in the anti-Labor swing spoke to us.

The Review took evidence from a Membership Forum on Tuesday night, hearing from rank and file members like Tim Tufuga, pictured below with the three Review members.
