Abbott Supported a Carbon Tax

November 11, 2011

A couple of activists have settled on a reasonably smart strategy for putting pressure on Opposition leader Tony Abbott: simply quoting what he himself said in 2009 in support of a carbon tax. The activists’ aim is to get 100,000 thousand people to view this Youtube video within the next 12 months.

Labor has allowed the Coalition to get off a little too lightly given their one time support for a carbon cap and trade scheme identical to that which passed the Senate on Tuesday.

In the doldrums; Opposition; pre-Mr Rudd. Labor is getting a belting from Government about economic management. Mr Keating says, “You’ve got to take them on, on it.” Proud of those achievements naturally – strategically, the reason more? Not that this is about Mr Keating.

“Labor has allowed the Coalition to get off a little too lightly”.

Got to take them on, on it?

Thanks bob for reminding me (as if I needed reminding), no matter how much I try to be fair and balanced in my thinking; I still come to the conclusion, that this man is nothing but an opportunistic grub!!

The really marvellous thing about this clip is Abbott’s suggestion that after you have paid the tax, you take your invoices down the road to the ATO and get the tax back.

If he promises to do that with income tax too he’s got my vote!
