Hi Bob, great to see you taking to the Foreign Affairs Ministry with such enthusiasm. As someone with a Ukrainian background myself I am interested to know what matters will be discussed regarding Ukraine. I had the good fortune to spend seven days there in 2006 after the World Cup in Germany and was fascinated with what appeared to be a country going through some very substantial changes. Like many I am stoked that Ukraine is co-hosting the European Cup. I am concerned about political developments there and would be interested to hear your take on political and economic events in Ukraine.

No time to go into detail but one thing we discussed was the status of the Ukranian famine – crime against humanity or genocide.

Mr Bob Carr, can I make a suggestion? Can you meet up with Senator Nick Xenophan and discuss the situation in Malaysia, especially in the light of recent events happening in the country, such as the huge demonstration for electoral reforms (28.04.2012) and the unpopular Lynas rare earths operation over there.
